Preservation Louisville hosts an educational series designed to give participants an in-depth look at various preservation issues and methods of maintaining and preserving historic buildings. Called Hands on History, Preservation Louisville is co-sponsoring this lecture series along with the Metro Louisville Historic Landmarks Commission and the Kentucky Heritage Council/State Historic Preservation Office. Hands on History programs are presented with support from The Brown-Forman Corporation. Throughout the series, participants will learn practical, hands-on techniques for working with original materials and finishes to maintain, restore and preserve historic elements.
Workshops are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 1-4 pm, September through April at The Brennan House Historic Home, 631 S. 5th St.. The registration fee is $20 for Preservation Louisville Members or $30 for non members.
